Derby International is an offshore entity established in the British Virgin Islands immediately after the liberation of Kuwait in 1991. It was set up primarily to conduct business activities outside of Kuwait due to the disruption of services following the Iraqi invasion of 1990-91. Since 1992, Derby has served as the international division of Al-Bader Group, with a primary focus on the Middle East, India, and South Asia markets.

The main focus of business activities for Derby is in the areas of consultancy, project financing and brokering, technology transfer, and trading projects.
